Defeat

It's this insane kind of perfect storm where Brexiteers are refusing to accept the deal because anything bar rocketing Britain into the asteroid belt is cow-towing to Brussels, and the opposition won't accept it partly out of some vain idea that Brexit will just be cancelled if we can't get a deal and partly out of political self interest.

Honestly, 'political self interest' is the defining phrase of this whole debacle. A referendum held to stop UKIP from taking Tory votes, whose key MPs were clearly trying to parlay the situation into cabinet positions (which they successfully did before shielding themselves from the fallout of the disaster they caused), which we now can't agree on the details of because it's in no party's interests for the deal to go well; if Brexit doesn't live up to the hype (which it can't), the Brexiteers lose, if we get a good deal, the opposition loses. Better to make a scapegoat of May and sell the whole country down the river, no?
