Awww. Here's some sad music

I'm gutted. This is worse than when my mum died. You can't afford a bike? Boo-fucking-hoo. How do you make it through the day? Your life must be terrible and empty living as you do with the terrible burden of knowing your garage doesn't have a carbon road bike in it.

When I think of those bald-haired kids with cancer pushing in the queue at Disney world and getting free shit from microsoft it makes me angry to think they get all these advantages in life and they're basically just ill whereas you've suffered through life without an expensive road bike! It doesn't even compared, does it? And yet the disabled get charities coming out of their wazoo, because they've got a leg missing or they can't breath or something. Why don't they give money to people who haven't got a Cervelo like yourself? People who are in genuine need. How the fuck do the people in this subreddit sleep at night knowing they worked hard, bought a bike and posted a picture of it, but you don't have one? The selfish bastards! /s

Thing is though bicycles are cheap.

Yep, even those carbon framed road bikes for a few grand.

It's not like a Ferrari or expensive sports car or big fuck off house with a swimming pool and cinema and french maids "cleaning" for you in the afternoons which is only available for the elite and rap stars.

Pretty much anyone who wants a road bike can get one. It's about priorities. Look at all the other useless shit you spend your money on. Get a bike instead.

To suggest that a carbon road bike is "pretentious" is the worst kind of Guardian reading garbage I've heard this week.

The average family own a car, (or three) that are significantly more expensive and probably go on a holiday once or twice a year and spend more on that.

If you want a carbon bike you have to work and find the money for it, but to act like these bikes are out of the reach of ordinary people is just total bullshit.
