However, suspension forks cannot be welded. I am a bicycle and motorcycle mechanic and I can assure you it's not done anywhere. They are thin cast aluminum which cannot be welded in a high stress application. I currently own over a hundred different motorcycle and bicycle forks and I am familiar with their inner workings. Some of what you claim may have been true sixty years ago on Harleys or something, but has no truth with two wheeled vehicles made in the last forty years.

When someone wants a bigger wheel we order them the appropriate forks made for that size.
