Does anyone know, is the new Kindle Fire 10 inch tablet significantly faster/more powerful than a two year old Kindle Fire HD 8?

From what I've read the new hd10 is a bit faster than the old hd10. I bring this up because I own several hd8'd an an hd10. In fact, I even used one hd8 for down media intensive applications and free struggling, switched them to the hd10. I had success. In my opinion, the hd10 shines over the hd8 because of the added RAM. It makes a huge difference in loading apps but I was actually downloading and seeding torrents. The hd8 could do it but it made the entire tablet not usable while something was being seeded or downloaded. The hd10, on the other hand, constantly seeds and downloads for me while I stream media or browse the internet. It is my workhorse and the best tablet I've ever owned for the purpose it serves.

I am not even considering upgrading my hd10 because of how well it performs.
