Does everyone realise just how bad the input lag is ?

clearly you don't. Is the fact that you have first shot input lag of 200 ms and less than 80 for consecutive shots within a 4 second period a technical issue or done by design? Surely if it was a technical issue, it would be consistent regardless of whether the input is related to movement, first shot or followup shots. But there are massive differences between the three (theres more but the test i saw only showed these three).

The likely reasoning behind this is balance. If you couldn't achieve a decent input with follow up shots, single fire would be impossible to use. And 200ms lag just to get your first shot off is to make make the game less about run and gun play and more about positioning.

Just do some research about this (like i did) and you will understand the game can achieve much lower latency across every button press, but some of these delays are purposely built into the game by design. Maybe they just don't want people running around with automatics spraying and praying and try to make the game a little more strategic than the average shooter.
