Doughboys Double - Mission Impossible with Ben Rodgers

I'm happy both Mitch & Nick are equally enthusiastic about the MI franchise since they watched the trailer for Fallout awhile back. They're on point about it too, it's just a such reliably solid action series & Tom Cruise is one of the all-time great movie stars. The dude is gonna legit die doing stuntwork some day, but he really seems to do it all for the sake of making the best movies possible and it makes a huge difference.

I will say that MI3 has gotten a weird amount of hate on the podcast which I feel is maybe residual feelings about JJ Abrams' later work. IMHO It still has the best overall action & plot, and it has also aged the best. Even outside of the MI series it's still one of my favorite PG-13 popcorn movies in general. --- The "macguffin" in MI3 is very intentional, to the point it's the ending's punchline. The doughboys & guests have all criticized it it like it's some film-ruining flaw, but the movie would be exactly the same if somebody said "btw it's cyber-cancer!" or w/e right before the credits rolled instead of "btw you'll never know!"...it'd just be a way more lame & forgettable ending
