A Dream I Had At 14-Years Old Became Meaningful at 27 (My Unusual Experience with Narcolepsy)

Thanks for sharing your story.

I still remember dreams from before Kindergarten and all through my life. I also remember my false awakenings-- or at least the one ODD detail that tipped me off and woke me up-- again-- and again-- and again. Mine were often disturbing.

It got so confusing as a young person that I would ask my sister over and over again if I was awake or asleep? She also had to put up with my blood curdling screams.

I went on and on here and just deleted. This was all pre-computer/pre-internet days, where all you knew was that your sibling and friends didn't have this stuff and that made you different. To be different, then, was a hugely bad thing that brought shame to your family, so you had the fear of being dumped in places like Willowbrook or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in your head.

Someday I'll write it all down.
