Throughout history, there have been many moments when multiple solutions to the same problem were developed by different people/teams, almost simultaneously (think of the electric light bulb as an example). This is known as the adjacent-possible principle, when every necessary technology has been developed, and the moment is ideal to combine the prerequisites and step further. Since we are all laying small bricks at the foundation of the first AGI, there is enough space in the market to grow in the global economy for hundreds of AI projects.
