Here is Rep Jimmy Dixon’s take on why we can’t use hemp. He’s basically talking about how hemp and marijuana look and smell the same and will make it impossible to tell the difference. Dixon stated, “If this bill passes without the ban, we will put 800 of our law enforcement dog and their handlers out of business.”
Which in my opinion makes sense. Why on earth would we want to make 800 dogs lose their jobs. I’m guessing the handlers can find other work or be reassigned but I don’t think you guys are thinking of the hard working puppies. You’re all to caught up in saving this damn planet. Do you have any idea what the insurance premium is for a K-9 with 12 puppies? I mean surely the city pays some of that cost but you can’t expect good citizens to pay for everything. Think of the burden on the economy when all the K-9 does start drawing unemployment?
