is it ever okay for an RMT/Biz owner to withhold a paycheck [BC]

oh hey!

I ended up calling the CMTBC and asking if this was reportable, but apparently bad business practices and not paying your NON RMT's is not a good enough reason to report an RMT (which doesnt make sense because... its unethical and not appropriate business practices)

my lawyer ended up writing her a letter saying i'm going to be terminating immediately, but before lawyer could get the letter to her, she gave one of my co workers my check and the coworker brought it to me while i was at school.

so now i can't give her the letter.

Lawyer suggested i just go in if i have appts until the end of the month when the groupon expires and if she refuses to let me go after that, thats her problem.

Luckily, i've seen that she has taken me off the schedule and i'm only to be booked if i have a coupon massage booked.

When i looked at my check, i noticed she deducted about 70 bucks from my paycheck, which has made me go back into all my statements and invoices to check. and it turns out i am not just short 70 bucks. I'm short over 200 bucks (i ended up over paying her because shed tellme how much i owed her before giving me the statements and then write the wrong amounts in the statements)

you might say "why didnt you receive the statement first and then pay"

and thats because shed demand the money by the 1st of the month, or else late fee and then give me my paperwork (invoice statements) 7-10 days later.

I'm meeting with an accountant on monday to make sure my math is right in regards to her screwing me out of 200+

and then i get to bring that piece of info to my lawyer.

safe to say this place is totally effed up.
