Falcons fan here, rivalry aside, I’m coming in peace. I know everyone feels like Brees got snubbed, but I’m curious to hear who you’d switch out and why

Ehh, here’s some case points for the other guys that deserve the list as much as Brady and Manning. I can see the case for Brees of Favre, Staubach, or Marino tbh but it is what it is

Sammy Baugh was one of the first QBs who popularized the forward pass that helped shape the game to what it is today. He dominated his era, before him no one had stats like he did. lead the league 8 times in comp%, even posted a 70.3% in 1945. Won 2 championships, 7 all pros, 2 MVPs

Otto Graham played for 10 years, lead the league 5 times in yards, won 7 total championships, 5 time MVP, and retired as the highest rated passer at 86.6%. He still holds the NFL career record for yards per pass attempt at 8.63

Unitas was the first player to pass for 40,000 yards, won 4 championships (including a SB), 10 pro bowls which the most until Favre broke it in 2009, set the record for most consecutive games with a TD at 47 games which stood for 52 years until Brees broke it, and 3 MVPs

Staubach played in 11 seasons and had his team in the playoffs every year except one, went to 4 SBs and won 2 SBs, SB MVP, 6 pro bowls, lead 4 times in passer rating, and retired with the second highest passer rating behind Otto with 83.4%

Marino as we know is regarded as the best QB to never win the SB. He was the first to throw for 5,000 yards in a season in 1984, there wasn’t another 5,000 yard season until Brees 2008. Lead the league 5 times in yards, 9 pro bowls, 3 all pro, MVP, when he retired he held 40 different QB records.

Montana won 4 SBs, 3 SB MVPs, 2 MVPs, etc. Before Brady, he was definitely regarded as the GOAT

Favre won a SB and had 3 straight MVPs, we may never see that again. Was the first to break 500 TDs, 70,000 yards, 6,000 passes, and 10,000 completions. 297 consecutive starts, 321 if you include playoffs. 11 pro bowls, 3 all pros
