I feel awful for posting here and idk where exactly to post this but will delete if inappropriate

Smaller things I guess: - TMZ (high grade brain cancer chemo) will likely not make your hair fall out. Radiation it would be localized to where radiation hit. If you were there for the radiation kind of hair loss, he would be getting daily treatments.

  • Brain cancer is not staged, it's graded. I guess this one isn't That important bc even people here mess that up but just a note bc this is my pet peeve lol.

  • A rare side effect of TMZ is anorexia and even that will not cure a brain tumor. There's no evidence starving helps and if it did then a lot more cancer patients would be doing well as a lot of chemos (including TMZ at times) can cause weight loss esp if you are nauseous/vomiting all the time, like some need feeding tubes and it still isn't curing their cancer.

There are bad doctors everywhere, but I cannot imagine a GP accusing someone of faking cancer just bc they didn't have the records. Beyond a lot of place having records connected (it is possible this isn't the case with diff medical systems) that would just be awful, at new doctors I often get asked oh where do you go for treatment, what kind of tumor, what's your prognosis?

Normally a post like this I'd be like wtf gross but if he's an extreme compulsive liar I get it. I half feel weird answering this still because I've been accused of faking but people do lie.. not the same situation but I have a dad who's a mess and I empathize.

Questions I'd think someone with brain cancer should be able to pretty easily rattle off: What kind, was it oglio or astro or what? What part of the brain was it in? easier to ask I think, Who's his neuro onc and surgeon, what hospital? How often does he get MRIs for recurrence?
