I feel like this also applies to FG's

I feel what often gets lost here. Casuals don't care for the core gameplay loop of training to get better and improving. That's a lot of dedication and time that more casuals players probably don't or can't to commit to the game. And I feel that's really the crux of the problem. I feel devs are misinterpreting this rn as "players thinking they aren't good at fighting games", so there's been a lot of misguided attempts lately to simply things to address this. When in actuality, these players aren't good, because they haven't put in the effort to try to be good. And if you simplify a fighter, you also make it easier for the better players to get better. So in the end, nothing has been changing...
