Finished Kill la Kill last night.

Some great anime recommendations!:

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012)

It's sparkly, it's flamboyant and overly macho and fabulous. It's also fucking amazing. You follow JoJo bloodline (Jonathan Joestar, Joeseph Jostar, Jotaro KuJo etc.) in their struggle against super-vampires and the legacy of them. It's funny, it's intense and it's so goddamn cool. Especially the battles, since their more often about smart thinking than brute strength.

Parasyte -the maxim- (2014)

Parasytes land rain down on earth and infect people all over the world. Quickly taking over their minds and bodies. They eat other humans for sustinance. The protagonist of the show, Shinichi, was victim of a failed take-over by the parasite. Resulting in only his right-arm being controlled. The parasite is extremely intelligent and starts living together with Shinichi to survive.

This series is extremely intense, with almost every episode ending in a real cliff-hanger. It also brings up such themes as animal rights, environmentalism and over-population of our planet. It gets pretty real. Also quite a violent show, with some gruesome scenes.

And my final recommendation!

Hunter x Hunter (2011)

This classic series was remastered into a masterpiece of series, it's a bit long, counting in on 148 episodes but it's through and through an enjoyable and emotional ride. It starts out as a seemingly generic Shonen-series, much like other shonen anime such as Dragonball, Naruto, One Piece etc. But they really turn on the tropes of those kinds of shows. They introduce serious mind-games, extremely likable characters with extreme character-development. Hell, I'd even say that this series has some of the best character-development ever in anime. It can get quite emotional too, with some really sad points too. One of my all-time favorites.

These are quite a bit different from Soul Eater, Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill. But I think you'll like 'em.
