First photos of K239 Chunmoo MLRS loaded with two KTSSM missiles

First photos of K239 Chunmoo MLRS loaded with 2x KTSSM (Korea Tactical Surface-to-Surface Missile) have surfaced online.

KTSSM was developed as a low-cost precision-guided munition against hardened North Korean underground facility (UGF) located along the DMZ. It has a diameter of 400mm and known range of 200+km. Two missiles can be loaded onto K239 Chunmoo's corresponding two pods. Its successor, the KTSSM-II, is under development and has diameter of 600m and known range of 290km. K239 Chunmoo is said to be able to carry one KTSSM-II.

Hanwha Aerospace, manufacturer of K239 Chunmoo and KTSSM, have previously stated in their marketing campaigns that K239 Chunmoo platform is capable of firing two 400mm KTSSM. But this capability had not been demonstrated until 15 December 2022 when Hanwha conducted a live fire demonstration on behalf of defense representatives from Poland, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Sweden, UAE, and the Philippines.

KTSSM launched from K239 reportedly flew for 200km and struck its target. Additionally, the new KTSSM-II missile was demonstrated for the Philippines' representatives on the same day.
