The Brecon Beacons, a national park in Wales, changed its official name to the Welsh ‘Bannau Brycheiniog’. I’m sure the Mosley-reincarnate ar slash UnitedKingdom will receive this news well, and not have a breakdown over a minority language like the last time this happened.

Speaking of Brecon, if you’ll pardon my rant, Pete Kelly from History Time just released a video on the “Lost Kingdom” of Brecon (which is not lost, mind you), and holy hell is the pronunciation terrible. I know that probably sounds like a minor complaint, but it takes just a few seconds to Google how to say these things, and unless you’re actually speaking Welsh and using mutations, every sound bar 1 will have an English equivalent.
I just don’t understand why, on a video about Brycheiniog, you just guess what it’s pronounced like, and fail horrendously.
