Garage Sale Find!

Awesome find! Especially with the expansion pack.

I found my copy in a thrift store many moons ago. My wife wanted to go poke around in one, and I wandered the store while she browsed.

After stumbling on the board game section, the box art caught my eye. I was like, "No way they have this here. Probably empty or missing everything."

Almost everything was in the game, including a kid's homework assignment. A rat tail, an orc arm, and maybe four character sheets were missing.

I snatched it up and went to pay for it. The cashier looked at it and peeled the pricetag off of it ($4.99). She looked at me and said it's the wrong price.

My heart sank. She knew what she had.

She smiled and said all board games are $0.99 this week.

My heart punched my sternum a few times. Turns out she didn't know what she had. At the time, ebay had slightly used editions going for $250. I was able to buyback a piece of my childhood for a low, low price.

So glad I went with my wife that day. To this day, we have a fun time playing it every now and then.
