So some friends said I should come to reddit as an alternative to twitter. So, my answer on the anecdote is this. I am saying to give the data to anyone who wants to analyze it once you have organized it minimally and then vetted it through peer review. When I say I don't want to get into an argument about the anecdote... I mean I am not going to argue about the truth or not of the story. I will respect the story, my goal is to extract whatever reasonable information I can, assign it a probability, and see if it fits a pattern. I don't think there's anything genius in that, it's just how I personally want to do the work to make it credible.
