General Discussion Thread - Weekend of December 3, 2022

I'm writing this from a deployed location. I've been wrapped up into this case for about 5 days on my downtime.

If the boy from the food truck is no longer a suspect then Moscow, ID has a serious problem on their hands. I really think this is some random killer that doesn't have anything to do with the frat or was involved in any victim's life.

If it was anyone attached to the University/Frat/Sorority, LE would have dialed in a suspect already using SIGINT/HUMINT as their investigation method. To include the boy at the food truck.

I honestly believe this is someone who's going to be on a killing spree. Again, the knife is the biggest profile item. This isn't a kitchen knife that's typically used in a rampage/retribution last-minute decision style murder. The knife is a survival/hunter/bowie fixed blade. That knife was chosen in a pre-meditated fashion and they DO NOT want to be caught. I believe LE described the scene as "sloppy" to force the killer to make a mistake. I figure they rather do that instead of taking the chance that the killer would clean up his method IF he chose to kill again.

After watching videos, reading comments of associated family members, observing the ex-bf, mapping, looking at the pictures of the exterior, floor layout, INFIL/EXFIL COAs (course of action), TOD, weather conditions, contextual events on that day leading up, weapon used, murder method....I am convinced this is someone who's experienced and is living out their fantasy.

I'm honest to god, thinking as if I'm mission planning another night operation for a task force.

Again, if LE has ruled out the close friends and contacts including the boy at the food truck...then honestly good luck!

I feel awful for the family and friends, and I especially feel terrible for the victim with defensive wounds. I'd like to meet them in Valhalla and pay my respect, whomever they are.

Another "fact" (if it's true) that's convincing me is the skill to kill 2 people (even if they're drunk and tired) sleeping together. They way I'd imagine the killer could do that is stabbing the lower front side of the neck of one victim, then immediately doing the same to the other. Which leads me to believe that this was targeted in the sense that they wanted to target easy victims. In no way do I believe the victims were "personally" targeted. He may be inspired by other serial killers (Dahmer), a movie (Halloween) and/or has given up on life and hates young people...idk..
