I have a few thoughts I would like to share with that comment. Chapin's family knows way more than Goncalves' family does. Hunter was there before the police arrived. It's his black car that was parked behind and taken with Ethan's red car. And they took it for a reason let me remind you. Kaylee wasn't even living there and was just visiting. So in my understanding, she was the collateral victim. The way LE handled this case was a disgrace. They made so many mistakes from barstools, copy-paste affidavits & arrest/search warrants (18 pages of copy-paste!), releasing contradicting statements, Ethan's autopsy results after 28 days, cleaning the scene, and wasting resources on following a guy all the way to PA just to cuff him based on his bushy eyebrows - which was based on an opinion by Brett Payne not even DM. There is something more to this case that Moscow LE doesn't want us to find out. We can only speculate what that is, but Goncalves' will not allow this and they have my full support. I understand protecting the right to a fair trial as much as possible. But at the same time, I feel like the damage was done long ago in regard to tainting the potential jury pool.
