GPS refuses to give a fix with SDR connected. I've tried several things and nothing has worked. I'm about to give up.

I also had a GPS problem today. I decided to add the VK-172 to my Stratux. Before doing so, I shielded the bottom of my VK-172 with foil tape over thin paste board to prevent any electrical shorting. I did a very careful and neat job, and made sure the foil tape made an electrical ground to the side of the USB plug. :-). I tested the whole Stratux out of case, with both Nano 2 SDR's running before mounting the works into my nice grey acrylic case. After about 15 minutes of running fine on the bench, the GPS LED stopped flashing..then it would start again for a few minutes...and this repeated several times. The GUI showed the GPS losing a fix, the acquiring , then losing again. This same GPS had been running for the past 3 days in this same spot with better than 10 meter accuracy, so I knew something was wrong. I was powering off an AC adapter that came with the Pi3 from Vilros. Having no way to monitor voltage and current on this adapter, I powered the unit with a different adapter that allowed me to insert my USB volt/amp meter in series so I could see if the voltage was a problem. I did have to reboot via the GUI to get everything going, but so far no more problems. So, acrylic case with cooling fan, VK-172, and 2-Nano 2's draws about 910ma @ 5.25vdc according to my testing. I'm running V0.9b2 also. I intend to monitor for at least 12ore hours and will report back.. I pick up lots of 1090 traffic here, but too far away to receive a tower on 978.
