Grand Lodge and ENF assets

Yes, the Grand Lodge officer has been well compensated- all while the employees who make the administrative side of this organization work have been screwed time and again. Just call and ask someone. Pay freezes, stagnant wages, decimation of the health care program, elimination of the pension program...When you get to a certain age there aren't too many options left, so you stick it out and hope you can save enough to make it in retirement. Benevolent and Protective my a**! Before the current regime, employees doing the little day to day tasks that make the organization run could count on regular pay raises, good health insurance, a modest defined benefit pension, little things like that - not so now. For that they worked for less than market wages, knowing that there was little chance for meaningful advancement, little "upward mobility". You have to wonder if the executive is receiving the "30 pieces of gold" to wield the axe; hope it makes the pangs of guilt a little easier.
