How can I get here - own land

Solar and the associated components have come a very long way. So have batteries, but they’re still expensive. Deep cycle lead acid batteries are still used, but they’re a thing of the past. The lithium iron phosphate batteries are worth some research. Teslas power wall, while expensive, might be worth a look.

You can also pair other generating options if you’ve got the correct inverter and componentary. There’s an NZ made single blade 1kw wind generator which is designed for residential sites. The name escapes me, but they’re said to be very good (and silent).

If you’ve got a creek running through the property, there’s hydro solutions.
