I think your stuff fairly well aligns with mine. The other people interested are very metal oriented and while I listen to to metal the stuff I write....isn't even close to that. I might get punk....occasionally but it tends to be more mellow and folky and psychadelic and chimy and sometimes even wonky. I write mainly on an acoustic guitar. But Weezer are my favorite band but I love The Beatles and beach Boys and King Gizzard....and Idles...and Reverend Horton Heat....and Queens of the Stoneage. I listen to a ton of music.
So what I am envisioning is something where someone (I'm assuming me but anyone CAN) puts a song in a Google drive with a guide guitar track and vocals. Then drums record. Then the bass player records his stuff and then guitar 2. Everyone based out of Michigan. And just see where it goes. Expiriment have fun. Not have me or anyone dictate the project but just see where each individual takes the song and adjust according. Maybe even doing multiple versions of songs. No stress. Just record at home on your own reasonable amount of time and see what happens.
