Is it hard to find a remote position if you don’t have experience in sales?

The best way to break in is to to build your network of mentors. Find folks who are active on Linkedin and slide in their DM's, offer a coffee, ask for advice.

I also highly recommend adding and dming SDR's at orgs before applying, ask if they would be open to sparing 10 min, hop on a zoom, chat them up, then ask for a referral. Referrals get to skip recruiter screens at some orgs and you're chances of being hired of a referral are 60% higher.

If you haven't already, add metric to your resume. I was in retail sales before I broke in and I added stuff around attainment, initiatives I started, etc. Use tech language in your resume even if you have no tech experience. I helped a licensed massage therapist make her resume sound salesy, you can do it for any work experience.
