Also already found. Funding is irrelevant to what I asked for. Tor is funded by the government. Past that, the article is talking about security against targetted hacking attempts, having nothing to do with the bug I've found, which is nothing being hidden at all.

Like I already showed by screenshot, there is a setting for opting into being an exit node, with a clear warning. Also like I said, years ago in order to use multi-hop trafficking, you had to opt in to being an exit node, not at all required, and warning given. This guy also said he selected options he didn't understand. He was not secretly opted into being an exit node. Sad story, no doubt, but it was not a case of a broken system.
