Hello Astoria redditors!

Fort George sucked, didn't it? I worked there a busser when I was 16 for a few months, and some of my coworkers didn't seem to ever know what they were doing. Especially the servers. A lot of times, on busy days, us bussers had to take on the SERVER'S jobs because some of them were so fucking lazy and wouldn't stop chit chatting with each other or customers. Or, they would do thier tasks veeeery slowly. Of course, some servers were good but I seemed to be put with bad ones more than I should have. And guess what? With all the hard work us bussers did, if the servers got 120 in tips, we only would get maybe 15. Which is fine, but it's just disproportianate compared to all the work including the server's work we have to do. Yes, it's okay to chit chat a bit but NOT WHEN THE RESTAURAUNT IS PACKED LIKE IT IS ALMOST EVERY DAY IN THE SUMMER AND THERE'S A 2 MILE LINE OUTSIDE FULL OF CONFUSED TOURTISTS BECAUSE THERE'S BARELY ANYONE AT THE HOST STAND TO DIRECT PEOPLE!

Sorry, just had to rant there lmao
