Hip Flexor Pain starts after I go about 5 miles. Any ideas?

YES. I had to go to PT for hip flexor/low back pain and the best thing I did was simple core strengthening exercises- my core was not properly engaging and it was making everything nearby pick up the slack, which left me injured for almost 8 months. The best exercise for me was bird dogs with a resistance band tied around the foot and the band going to the opposite hand (you can find this form online!). The key for me was doing movements that require you to engage and de-engage the abs.... I could do sit ups actively thinking about abs but it was the subconscious movements where my abs weren’t “turning on” that really screwed my body up!
