[Hiring] Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Services Program Assistant

The Consulate General of Canada in San Francisco is hiring a Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Services Program Assistant.

Please note, OP is not with the hiring organization. OP is manager of the Canadian Studies Program at the University of California, Berkeley. This job is being offered by the Consulate General of Canada in San Francisco, a government partner I work closely with, but not my organization.

I can tell you that the job is open to US Citizens, and working for a foreign government can be a tremendous opportunity. I know several people who have worked in similar roles for the Canadian government around the USA and found the experience very enjoyable, and a big career booster.

If you have any questions about what it's like to work for the Government of Canada in the USA, generally, I can probably answer as I have many friends who hold / have held similar roles. If you have specific questions about the job, contact the Consul, Mr. Yves Beaulieu, at the link above or on Twitter at @YvesBeaulieu4

Cheers,

Elliott from Canadian Studies
