How Does Canada Benefit From the Highest Migration Rate of Third World Countries?

I’m the son of immigrants. I wonder if the # of immigrants we take in each year is sustainable.

We take in ~ 400,000 every year? It’s going to climb to 450,000 in 2023. That’s around 1.2% of our population every year! Do we have enough housing for them? Enough jobs? Enough hospital beds?

For context, Vancouver proper only has a population of 600,000. Imagine adding a new city almost the size of Vancouver EVERY YEAR!!! There’s no way we’re building enough housing for them.

Whereas the USA, takes in ~ 1,000,000 every year. Around 0.3% of their population every year. Meaning we take almost 4 times as many immigrants than the USA (per capita).
