How I feel trying to beat AI art.

> if you think this tool you’re using right now will be the same in advancements in a year or hell 5 years, you’re naive. AI might still need human intelligence to some degree now but i think you know as well how fast AI is developing. Your job will most likely be replaced by AI, as many others.

I'm aware of the pace of AI development. However, no serious researchers in GAI think that it will come within the next decade, let alone 5 years. The average prediction is, IIRC, 80 years. Maybe 100, I'd have to check my sources. Until then, humans will be in the driver seat. However when it does come, we better be prepared and artwork, and even jobs, will be the least of our worries. If we are prepared, it could be a step change in evolution. If we aren't, it could end us.

> AI’s development is incredibly fast, I’ve followed it in the programming world and it’s moving faster and faster, good for engineers but i’m quite certain what you call tool now will be the thing to replace you in the future.

Me personally, I am safe. But almost no one who doesn't work with their hands is, if the state doesn't step in. Also it will remain a tool for quite some time, even in the GAI era, because humans will always have a creative spirit and they will always want to make stuff using all sorts of artistic tools, even if our intellectually superior descandants are as gods to us. People still paint with their fingers despite having access to diffusion, after all.

> You’re dodging points people have made, and gone back on your amateur understanding of diffusion algorithms.

It is the reverse: I am making points, and people are dodging them, and instead downvoting me. But I understand why, so I don't take it personally. I have faithfully engaged in every point anyone has brought to this thread, and users have straight up abused me for doing so. My understanding of diffusion is in a professional context. You specifically do not know what you are talking about, in this case. And how could you?

> Actually calling AI a tool is naive, i don’t agree with that. It’s an intelligence, and an intelligence that is growing, and its use case expanding for each month.

I am not even talking about AI. I am talking about diffusion models. Diffusion models are not intelligent. Anyone who develops them thinks the idea that they are intelligent is a silly joke.
