If Trump is allied to Russia, could they have pulled of the greatest military maneuver in history?

What do you mean if Trump is allied with Russia, this has to be the stupidest conspiracy theory I've ever heard.

Trump and Brexit happened because many in the west feel disenfranchised with the current political order. That sentiment led to those two movements. And now you have idiots who are clamouring to the most ridiculous hypothesis to explain the events ignoring anyone else with substantive explanations based on actual analysis; they're literally falling for the oldest causation vs correlation fallacy.

Did Russia try to influence the election? Yes, obvious. Like the US tries to influence the election of every other state when one outcome is preferred. [Like Saudi Arabia is doing as we speak](Everyone would pretty much agree with that sentiment at this point). Like every other notable state power is doing. This isn't anything new, when Time magazine allotted the US government for influencing the Russian election in the 90s was it as big of a deal then?

This is what governments do, and unless they adopt military means (which the US government coincidentally has done on a number of occasions) the impact they have is usually negligent.

You'd have to be an idiot to think that Russia throwing around a few fake news stories online was the reason that Trump was elected instead of the massive societal disenfranchisement with the political order. Was it also the reason that he won over a dozen traditional republican candidates? Or the reason why Brexit was passed?

Seriously, rant over and all, but you're being an idiot for introducing this low effort political drama bullshit onto this sub.
