Ok, so if we enact these laws, and an unhinged maniac where to run at Bloomberg with a weapon, would his guards and him then have a duty to retreat? Or would they be justified in taking that dangerous madman down with deadly force? They'd take him down, and rightfully so.

These antigun politicians annoy me because they refuse to abide by the same rules they're demanding for their fellow Americans. It's elitist bull shit, and I won't abide by their nonsense. The spirit of individuality and the importance placed upon individual sovereignty in this country is one of the things that has made us what we are. Denying a person their Right to defend themselves against threats is an impotent response and it's fundamentally un-American.
