PS: this is somewhat unrelated to the topic but am i the only one that sometimes feel burdened with feeling bad about how I want to buy stuff sometimes? Like how you feel like you never relly wanted a specific thing but because of the excessive commercials and everyone talking about it you almost feel alienated if you dont participate? Even though you know you dont want it? But you kind of feel like you do now? Is this some by-product of a capitalistic system?

It definitely isn't just you, but this has never happened to me. I don't buy into hype/product popularity and purchase stuff I either need or personally want, rather than because "everyone has it" or "is the cool thing to have". I could care less about advertisement either as it doesn't influence my decisions about what to buy and when.
