I am skeptical about trying it because another NMDA receptor antagonist, I had a really bad reaction to. Everyone hails it as a miracle drug, and I did feel less depression and anxiety from infusions, but I was in the middle of a highly analytical college study that required mathematical equations, and ketamine completely obliterated my ability to do math in my head.

Just goes to show nothing is perfect. Unfortunately when I told my doctors I couldn’t calculate any math after the infusions, they said it’s not a ketamine side effect and to go see a neurologist. I ended up having to drop out of my study and it completely changed the course of my life.

Hopefully this new drug helps someone but these things are definitely not without their side effects.
