I Inherited around 2500 die cast recently and am getting overwhelmed!

Honestly they are not worth much. Maybe you can sell them as lots of 10-20-30 cars at a time.

If you find the right person he might be willing to pay $2-$3 for one car, but the shipping is going to kill it. Very few are willing to pay $6-$8 for one car including shipping.

Looking at sold items on ebay doesn't tell the full story. You don't know for how long that item was listed and there is effort, time and money spent on listing and shipping a package.

But if you can make lots of 20-30 cars from one year, it is going to be a lot easier to find someone to pay $50-$60 for the lot. And it's easier for you to handle and ship them.

If you are looking to sell the entire collection to one person that is going to handle the selling afterwards they are probably going to pay around 0.25-0.50 for a car. So the entire collection would be about $1000, maybe $1500 if you're lucky. There are lots of people who make a business out of this.

I would personally sell them as lots of 20-30 cars and list them with a low starting price and long duration auction on ebay. This way you're sure they sell and the long duration will assure you that anyone interested has a chance to bid and drive up the price. If you have any high value items ($20+), sell them individually.

If you privately send me your ebay seller id, I would gladly take a look and maybe buy something.

Good luck!
