Introduction Thread

Hi everyone, I just realized I never posted an introduction! I have so been enjoying chatting with all of you! I am due the third week in August and am having a boy. I went through a year and a half of infertility treatment and this is my third pregnancy. My first one ended in a missed miscarriage at 9.5 weeks and my second one was a chemical pregnancy. I have done IUI and IVF. My current pregnancy is a result of my second IVF embryo transfer. It was a long road to get to this point. When we got married, my gyno tester my AMH level and it came back very low and indicating I had the egg reserve of a 45 year old at 36. So we literally never got to even try on our own before we ended up at a fertility clinic. Ironically, as soon as I got off the pill, my AMH level went back to normal and it was found that I actually have totally normal fertility. However, as part of their standard infertility clinic work up, they had started testing my husband’s fertility too and it was discovered that he has low sperm motility. We tried IUI and it worked on the first try but I had the miscarriage. This convinced us that IVF with PGS screening for chromosomal abnormalities would be best. It took four months after the miscarriage to be able to do an egg retrieval and my first transfer was this past October. My successful transfer was in December and I’m now 12 weeks! We are very excited!
