IV Ketamine vs Esketamine

The effects experienced during Ketamine IV Infusions are quite a bit more intense. Also it has alot stronger affect on NMDA antagonization which results in a higher release of Glutamate when compared to Esketamine.
Both have been found effective at treating treatment resistant depression. Ketamine Infusion has shown to have more significant overall response and remission rates, as well as lower drop-outs due to adverse effects/events. Ketamine Infusion is ALOT more expensive than Esketamine. This is because insurance doesnt cover either Ket Infusions or Esketamine.
Ket Infusion Therapy range in price from $700 to $2,000 per infusion. Typically Ket Infusion protocol is 6 Infusions completed over a period of 2 to 3 weeks. So that means having an infusion every other day or every two days until all six are completed. So the total cost can ranges from $4,200-$12,000. I will say from what I've read and the different local facilities I looked into to provide Ket Infusion for me the price was commonly $700 to $900 per infusion. But that is still a total of $4,200-$5,400 which isn't cheap!
