Against laloon keep your ads overlapping and try to seperate your ads from wts. the ad next to the aq shouldnt be trapped with air bombs as it will likely be taken out by the incoming golem(s) & heroes.

Our clan just got rolled by quadloon. Our #9 guy (other than walls, a maxed out TH9 with L10 heroes) got 3-starred by their #21. The attacker had L1 hounds, L3 hound in cc, and max loons; 3 rages and a lightning to take out cc troops.
A majority of our clan is now salivating over quadloon. Any tips? Base setup preferences for targets? Defense against? What happens if there's a drag in the cc?

I've been doing a fair amount of thinking about anti-LaLoon concepts at TH9, and I don't think my previous thread went in-depth enough, so I'm working on a part 2 solely focused on trying to stop attacks using lava hounds. Should be coming out soon :)

I addition to the very good advice of Chief Maaalk, symmetrical bases while not always bad, are usually inferior to asymmetrical (yet still balanced) bases against lavaloonion. I had an original version of "The General" base (with some modification) for a long time but now people finally figured out how simple it is to beat with standard lavaloonion and thus I was forced to change to a Metaki-inspired design.

Also-from an offensive perspective, in addition to shattered and cold-blooded lavaloonion, pentalavaloonion can be an excellent composition as well, albeit difficult to master.

As a th7, its really hard earn DE by just barching. Barching is great at collector raids but DE collector is only 1 at th7 and only 2 at th8. You have to be great at barching to do core dives where the DE storage are usually located.

If barching doesn't cut it, use a comp where you are comfortable you can do a core dive like maybe GiBarch or with wizards. I used 16 giants, 4 WBs, 12 wiz and 64 archers with 2 rage/1 heal. I was able to max my BK and upgrade both hogs/minions to level 2 at th7 even with my clan sucking lately.

Just a tip; don't be picky. If you see high DE loot but very low gold/elixir, don't push 'Next' anymore. Its hard to find bases with all three yummy AND are easy targets. Those are rare and very well-defended for a th7.
