Did you experience improvement without dissociation/psychedelic effects?

I experienced the most positive effects from my ketamine infusions, but only once I allowed the staff to increase my dose: I had 6 of them, but I started out low because I was nervous and resisted the Dr trying to bump up the dose because I have a lot of anxiety around drugs.

I didn't have a great response for my first and second infusions, but it helped a little bit overall. On my third, or maybe fourth? I can't remember exactly this was 5 years ago, but I relented and let them bump up my dose so that I fully disassociated during the infusion. WOW that was a powerful experience, and I had really strong positive responses to the rest of my infusions. Felt immediately better coming out of them, and the effect lasted for days. By the end of the infusions I wouldn't say I was cured, but improved enough to have hope.

My Dr had me on sublingual troches of ketamine post infusions for 2 months. Those help maintain, but they don't move the needle much compared to the full effect of infusions. Does that make sense?

TL;DR I needed a strong dissociation for good results from K.
