"Jurassic World 2 is is a bigger, better, faster, wilder more exciting ride"

I really dislike PR comments like this. This one in particular is just so meaningless. I mean, of course he would say this.

Plus, what he's suggesting doesn't even sound great. I don't necessarily want a "more exciting ride." What does that mean? Even more murky chases between raptors and vans with opened rear doors? If Pratt had said, "we spent a long time trying to match the talky vibes and slower pace of the original and recapruribg that sense of buildup. We tried to get a scene in there that matches the tableside convo from the first film..."

I get that the thinking here is that "everyone wants a wilder ride!" but, ugh, there's something so baldly commercial and basic about that promise...

Trevorrow is a master at PR, by the way -- telling the fans exactly what they want to hear, very carefully doling out info, knowing and addressing his audience, etc. Unfortunately, I didn't think his exceptiobal PR skills were equalled by his writing and direction in the case of Jurassic World.
