No worries! I find the best way to check if a Defender is well priced is to check it against the European market. A good website is AutoScout24. See what a given year and mileage goes for there, add about $10K minimum and you’re in the ball park of what it’s actually worth in Canada. Of course newer model years and super low mileage skyrocket the price.
A 2005 D90 with around 75,000 km is good original condition will easily fetch $60K and maybe even more. The one you posted, were it legit, should sell for around $30K to $35K roughly.
The people trying to sell their 1990’s Defender with half a million kilometres for $125,000 are high as a kite. The ones posting pristine ultra low mileage models for pocket change, are data and/or identity thieves trying to wrangle a down payment online to “hold” the vehicle for you.
