Just watched the awful ending

Oh no, I had read nothing about the ending and had no idea it was controversial (read: terrible). Been happily binging the show for the first time the last couple of months and got ambused by it (oh boy I can't wait to see how he proves his fears wrong and doesn't abandon every- ON NO). This feed had been some good catharsis at least...

One thing I can't get out of my head - the show has, all the way through, been anti the 'sudden epiphany'. Look at everytime Lucifer has one with Linda, invariably they're a result of him misinterpreting her advice and they backfire. His real changes come from deep, hard earned reflection. Yet they justify his decision to *abandon* the love of his life, all his firends etc ON A SUDDEN EPIPHANY.

So much more bothers me too, pretty much everything mentioned here, but found that to be particularly insulting. Anyone know how to get over it? I'd love to be able to watch the show again and not have this taste in my mouth..? (Currently attempting to do this via whisky but always appreciate more constructive approaches)
