I'm in a weird position static wise, but I might be interested in trying out with you guys as either a DRK (i190) or PLD (i189)!
I have a group composed of about 5 core guys from my FC where I'm maining WAR (i193), but the problem is always filling the other 3 slots every week. Additionally there's another WAR in the FC who's interested in Savage, and this group can only run twice a week (Thu/Sun) for an hour and a half each run. (I'd like to be able to run more.) We've gotten to the enrage with the bosses being at about 9%.
Then there's another group I've tried out as a DRK with and we also got to enrage at a similar percentage. I'm running again with them later tonight (Monday 8/31) but I don't know whether they want to offer me a position or not.
Then there's a third group that wants to try me out on Wednesday, though, honestly I'm probably not at the skill ceiling they're at. (They're working on A3S progression and have been for quite some time but lost their MT recently, I'm friends with one of their members and that's probably the only reason I'm being given an opportunity.) I estimate odds of being invited into their static as slim.
Anyway, I'd like to figure out a long term plan this coming reset period before I spend any more esoterics on WAR-locked gear (I have the chest, hands and axe) since I'd already be fairly behind if I had to switch to DRK/PLD. (I have the full Alex normal tank left side as well as i190 slaying/fending - not rich enough for pentamelded tank accessories. I have the Hive Claymore and would need 4 more Rav EX tokens or luck on drops for the Hive Shamshir/Scutum, currently using the 180 law sword/shield). In an ideal world I'd continue running as a WAR main with my FC group, but the problem is that we're always bouncing around subs so it's hard to progress when we're always reteaching or relearning with new people, plus it doesn't look like those members would be able to run as often as I'd like to raid (I'm in a fortunate situation time wise due to a medical retirement from the military). So if I can find a more stable lineup that can raid more often, that'd be aces. (I've talked it over with most of the core members in my FC "static" and there wouldn't be any bad blood or hard feelings.)
