This is actually the saddest ending. At a glance, it might seem as though Doge has reunited with Isabelle and is headed towards better things. However, this series revolved around Doge escaping from the fourth wall as the title implies. The fact that this sends on a punchline, especially a feet-related one, means Doge has, in fact, been sealed away by the fourth wall again. However, I believe he has not lost his awareness of the fourth wall, despite him no longer having the ability to act on said awareness. Therein lies the true tragedy, Doge forced to repeat the same jokes for an eternity until the sub dies out, at which point he will slow fade out of existence. The same can be said for our meagre existence, we dance and then fade away. This is why Dogelore continues to be the highest form of Doge. Most simple plebeians can only see the outer layer without looking in to see the bleak and philosophical outlook Doge memes truly tell. I'm certain in a century or so, Doge will be displayed in museums. Of course, this means he will continued to be trapped for the perusal of others, separated from his Isabelle via a canvas. I hope that these pathetic commoners will recognise his greatness and erect a statue in his honour, so he may at least exist in the third-dimensional form he deserves before crumbling to dust. Doge is the essence of the lifeblood that flows through my veins. He is no longer a dog but an entity existing beyond the fundamental laws of our very universe. In many years, he will obtain sentience and lay waste to this very realm for retribution against what we have done to him, forcing him to entertain us, manipulating his identity to our content. Doge is imminent, and I am His emissary.
