Legal tampering has officially begun!

I don't understand why we're not resigning him or franchising him.

This is were I lost a lot of respect for your opinions. There is NO WAY in hell Maclin is worth $12.8mil (the franchise tag for a receiver) That's the same money as Dez. Maclin is not on that level & his talents don't seem to suggest he ever will be.

As much as we may not agree with the Jackson move, he is not required to keep the players that do not fit his culture, simply because you think he should. That's is just blasphemous. Take a step back to take a step forward applies directly to this situation.

On the surface the McCoy trade looks just as simple as you put it...but that is a very basic assessment. Considering McCoy was to turn 27...coincidentally the exact age backs production historically begins to drop by 15% per year...he had more carries than any other back in the league the past 3 years...& some consider that he looked just slightly slower last year....also his giant cap hit for a guy who can't carry the team. Moving him now made more sense than waiting any longer. It's ALWAYS better to move a guy slightly too early than slightly too late. To get a return like Kiko Alonso is great...if healthy, he could be a mainstay on our defense for years & has the tools to be a top linebacker in this league. Before you make excuses about the line...consider our line graded out top 5 in run blocking ALL YEAR by PFF. The backs who get 12mil a year are the work horses for their teams...they get you that yard. McCoy couldn't. I don't mean to bash him cause I love the guy but it was the perfect time to move on. If you think the move was an ego driven one then you clearly aren't paying close enough attention.

we'll wait and see how these decisions work out

I'm not saying the guy has arrived or that we shouldn't be critical but I somehow doubt you expected 10-6 these past two seasons with 5 different QBs? Obviously he knows something we don't. Also for as bad as you wanna say the djac move was...we were 9-3 heading down the stretch with Mark Sanchez...can't really say the djac move was the sole reason we didn't make the playoffs.

The plan all along was for kelly to build his program as Carroll did in Seattle...did you somehow miss that? Just because he proved that he was a good enough coach to get 10-6 out of a 4-12 team a year before...doesn't mean that the situation gets reevaluated. The build is still on. What's the point in having Kelly if we don't ever get to realize his full vision. I'm not of the belief that trading picks for Mariota is a good decision in anyway shape or form. I will however wait & see what happens & won't jump the gun acting like I somehow call the shots for this organization. Your original comment was asinine simply because it's widely known that the expectations don't get moved up if you overachieve SMH.
