To become a politician you need a wife as part of your image to appear normal to the public, being a closoted homo he is; Clooney married a humanitarian lawyer for the sake of entering politics. I also read that all the people in hollywood knows that Clooney is gay and it's a common knowledge. But he appears as "straight" in the public.
