LGI still refuses to open

It's really strange another posted jumped to some radical conclusion I'm facing a personal ban based on no information to support that position. If I had a personal ban why would I even be posting this... Two together is definitely not allowed on the ward my mums on, I've never seen two visitors in there together. The current policy is for exceptional circumstances as detailed on their website.

I spoke to a senior person at LGI on the phone today who also raised concerns with the trust directly that different trusts appear to be applying their rules inconsistently. LGI claims its operating on government guidelines, which means that all local hospitals (that have a standard visitor policy) and not are may be breaking the law. Obviously that's not the case I just think LGI has misunderstood government guidelines which explains why they're the only local hospital not properly open up to 'normal' visitors. However if you're certain on your personal visiting situation it could be managed different on the ward matrons own decisions.

Oddly many people here shit themselves and didnt want to be seen as saying any negative about the NHS because they've got their blinkers on, ultimately the leader of these wards support the case for allowing visitors and agreed that 12 patients in Leeds with covid is considered to be a very low therefore safe number. People here are just afraid to say anything that agrees with that out of gear of criticising the NHS, even though large parts of LGI support opening up...

Covid is a real threat but people have become radicalised by it. If 12 cases in Leeds isnt acceptable to open up what will be....11? 10? We haven't much room to go here. It seems wildly inconsistent to atleast 7 other local hospitals, so either they're all wrong and Leeds is right or Leeds has got it wrong.
