I’m sorry Ashley

Sure mike had the most to do with it but I’m sure he didn’t plan for Beth and Hannah to die.

Well he sure hasn't made any attempt to make amends by at least saying he's sorry about what happened to their older brother, that much is for damn sure.

Also, you’re not taking into consideration how dynamic he is. He wants to save the group and puts his life through hell to do that.

I'm gonna say to you, exactly what literally everyone on Earth besides me thinks whenever Mike acts like a selfish dick and/or terrible decisions. And that's "I don't really give a shit."

I don't care how much hell he went through, and I don't care how 'badass' he is. You wanna know why? Because everyone around him goes through just as much as hell as he did, if not moreso.

  1. Josh lost his younger sisters, had schizophrenic hallucinations since he was 11 years old, friends abandoned him even before his prank, and nobody besides Sam...even TRIED to help him out at all.

  2. Emily got dumped, new boyfriend either died or left her for dead on a collapsing radio tower, had to run out of a Wendigo-infested cave with nothing but a flare, and then had a gun pointed at her head for next to no good reason.

And 3/4 of that is...at best partly his fault, and 99% of the fandom ignores it just because he's 'badass' and 'hot' and not because he's actually a good guy. If that doesn't just scream 'overrated', I don't know what does.

If he stepped in while Josh was getting captured, he would have died too. It’s called being smart.

No he wouldn't have. Hannah left those caves after taking Josh back to that lair (which was literally just a few steps away btw) to find Matt/Jessica in the mines if they're still alive, and then went back to the lodge to kill Sam and the other survivors. Mike had no obstacles in his way, apart from selfishness and hypocrisy (because like you said he went through so much hell to help the other girls but not him lol).
