MacEoin on Bahā'u'llāh's Claims to Divinity

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. -Isaiah 9:6-7

The title "Prince of Peace" is often attributed to Jesus Christ. Indeed, when one visits many Christian churches they will often see banners or placards quoting this verse in reference to His Holiness Christ. The first line, "for unto us a child..." quite possibly could be attributed to Jesus because he was a child, the son born of Joseph and Mary, but at this point the similarities cease. Upon deeper investigation we can see that this selection from the book of Isaiah is not in reference to Jesus but rather, another glorious Personage. The passage continues: "...the government shall be upon his shoulder." The only thing Jesus ever said about government is "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and render unto God the things that are God's." It calls this holy One the everlasting Father, but Jesus was called the Son. Many believe that because Jesus' message was Love, that he must be the Prince of Peace. But truly, he wasn't a Prince but a carpenter 's son and when he spoke of peace said: "I have not come to bring peace, but a sword." And finally it says "...upon the throne of David..." Jesus was a direct line male sperm descendent of king David, this is why he was the Christ, as the meaning of the word Christ is an anointed male sperm descendent of king David. But he did not sit on the THRONE of David. The Throne was passed down to Solomon, while Jesus was born of the sperm of Joseph (see Romans 1:3,4) who was descended from Solomon's brother Nathan as shown in the genealogy recorded in the Gospel of Luke.

Nay rather, this verse from the book of Isaiah is an exact match and description of the mission of Baha'u'llah, the second coming of Christ. Baha'u'llah is seated upon the the Throne of David, as it was passed down to Him from father to son in an unbroken chain all the way back to king David himself. His name means the Father (Aramaic: Baha=Glory u=of Allah=God, Lord or Father. See Mark 8:38) Baha'u'llah brought a plan and a blueprint for a spiritual world government, the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, that will bring justice and peace to the world and that will last at least half a million years. His lineage from David is continued through His sons(see Psalms 89) as the executive branch of this government and is the sign of God. This verse is clearly speaking of Baha'u'llah as further investigation will confirm.
